Grant brings a wide range of specialisms to the Burgis & Bullock Corporate team. Together with Wende he set up the firm’s Corporate Finance division in 1990 and has since helped many companies with business acquisitions and disposals, particularly specialising in management buy-outs and buy-ins. For a lot of these companies Grant continues to provide ongoing business support to the management teams long after the transactions have completed.
With particular interest in the land and property sector Grant also provides VAT advisory services and he has been instrumental in building a specialist VAT team within Burgis & Bullock.
An Aussie by birth, Grant qualified with Bentley’s, one of Australia’s top 12 national firms then moved to PWC in their Melbourne office before moving to PWC in England under an International transfer in 1984. He subsequently moved to a small two partner practice before joining Burgis & Bullock in 1989.
Unfortunately Grant is a season ticket supporter of Coventry City although he does continue to support his previous local Aussie Rules Football team, the Geelong Cats. He tells us he enjoys watching England as they try but generally fail to match Australia in various sporting events but we have noticed he claims his British citizenship when we are winning!
