Corporate Finance

We provide impartial, expert corporate finance advice to companies, business owners, and management teams focused on maximising shareholder value.

Our partners build long-term relationships with clients, often acting as their trusted adviser through the entire business lifecycle. By so doing, we combine a deep understanding of our clients, their businesses, and markets with leading edge M&A skills to devise the optimum strategies for success. Through our approach we have gained a reputation for creative and astute dealmaking even in the most challenging situations.

Buying a business

Through our research resources and industry connections we identify and unlock high quality acquisition and management buy-out opportunities, often before they come to market. We advise our clients on the strategic fit of potential targets, valuations, and the optimum way to structure any deal. We lead or assist in negotiating the transaction and manage the deal through the legal and due diligence stages to completion.

Selling a business

We often work with clients well in advance of any sale to help them prepare their business in order to achieve maximum value. We develop the right sale strategy and use our in-house research resources and international alliance to identify and attract the right UK and overseas strategic buyers. Our partner led approach ensures that negotiations and the deal execution are expertly handled by our most experienced and skilled people.

Raising finance

Through our in-depth knowledge of the finance market and connections we can identify the right funder for any situation, which is often a non-mainstream lender or investor that our clients would not have been able to access without our support. We raise debt and equity funding for acquisitions, management buy-outs, re-financings, and development or replacement capital. Our name adds credibility to the financing proposal and our skills in business planning and financial modelling gives funders confidence.

We are specialists in the valuation of shares, businesses, and intangible assets, and the firm is represented on the Panel of Experts of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. We provide advice and independent valuation opinions for M&A transactions, shareholder disputes and litigation, divorce settlements, tax matters and share option schemes, and financial reporting purposes.
