Top business brains from across the region put their heads together to raise funds for charity at the 15th annual Burgis & Bullock quiz night.
The quiz, which was held in Warwick Hall on the site of Warwick School, saw more than 100 quizzers across 17 teams go head-to-head, raising £700 for the ILEAP Charity in the process.
The ILEAP Charity operates in South Warwickshire and provide fun and friendship opportunities for people with additional needs in the region.
‘Brindley Twits’, representing legal firm Brindley Twist Tafft & James, came away as victors on the night – winning the quiz for a second successive year.
They needed 98 points for the win and proved the most consistent team over the course of 10 rounds, including a bonus round.
Burgis & Bullock, which has offices in Leamington, Nuneaton, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Rugby & London, have raised thousands for charity since the introduction of the annual quiz night.
Sean Farnell, partner at Burgis & Bullock and quizmaster for the evening, said: “It was another successful year for our quiz and we again raised a great amount for a very important cause.
“ILEAP do fantastic work in the local community in Stratford-upon-Avon and the wider region and we hope the funds raised on the evening can support them to continue this work.
“We had some top teams competing this year but it was the Brindley Twist Tafft & James team that again came out on top, so congratulations to them. The pressure is on next year’s competitors to knock the ‘Brindley Twits’ off the throne!
“It’s always great to catch up with our clients and friends at the annual quiz and I’d like to thank everyone who made the night possible.”
Team’s donated a host of prizes which were up for grabs in the raffle at the end of the evening, raising additional funds for the ILEAP Charity.
Peter Bazeley, CEO of ILEAP, said “A huge thank you to Burgis & Bullock for choosing the ILEAP Charity as their chosen charity for their annual fundraising quiz night.
“It is an honour for our important work to be recognised by such a reputable firm. We really cannot thank them enough for choosing us this year. The much-needed funds will make a huge difference to our charity. Thank you to everyone who supported the event.”
