A new initiative from Warwickshire County Council has been created to improve cooperation between educators and employers and it is hoped further enhance the employment prospects of local students.
Burgis & Bullock have always been committed to providing employment and ongoing training to local young people and were one of the first local companies to sign up to the initiative.
CONNECT is a new, virtual meeting-place where businesses and education providers can make contact and work together to improve the employability skills of young people and develop recruitment pipelines. This web-based portal is easy to use and it only takes a couple of minutes to register and start searching. www.warwickshire.gov.uk/sfeconnect
CONNECT is part of Warwickshire County’s Council’s £2 million Skills for Employment programme. Businesses participating in the programme are awarded the Warwickshire Employability Charter and receive a charter mark they can use in publicity.
